Local author and childcare expert releases new book to help families with change

On Saturday, March 18, 2023, Milwaukee native Kelly Melton released her first children’s book, “Did You Say Baby?“, at a book signing event held at Early View Academy of Excellence, 7132 W. Good Hope Road. The event also celebrated Kelly’s 5th year as the owner of The Itsy Bitsy Scholars Childcare Center.
The book is about 6-year old Raylan as he prepares for his new sibling to arrive. The story addresses the emotions that children face when having to deal with change in their family structure and it helps assist parents in having meaningful conversations with them about those changes.
