Greater Milwaukee Urban League hosts scholarship and laptop awards presentation

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, The Greater Milwaukee Urban League hosted its annual “Scholarship and Laptop Awards Presentation” event at Milwaukee County Zoo Peck Welcome Center. Nearly 100 area high school graduates headed to college this fall received $1,000 scholarships and/or laptops as well as backpacks loaded with additional necessities from Greater Milwaukee Urban League. The scholarships will provide needed financial support for tuition, room and board, or other school-related expenses. A total of 42 scholarships and 65 laptops were presented at the event. Seven scholarships were awarded by Kohler, Inc. as part of a corporate grant program supporting the post-secondary education of young people in communities where the company is located. The remaining scholarships and laptops are sponsored by Enterprise Mobility, Kohl’s Cares, and Greater Milwaukee Urban League.
