On Saturday, April 21, 2018, the Milwaukee Christian Fellowship Basketball League (MCFBL) hosted their 23rd Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet at Miller Park. During the banquet, about a dozen scholarship were given out to youth members of MCFBL, who range in ages 12-18. After the banquet the attendees and their families were treated to a Brewers game. The MCFBL is a congregation- supported, Christian recreation outreach ministry for youth in the greater Milwaukee area. They currently offer a boys’ basketball league for ages 12 to 18 years old (6th-12th grades). In its previous 22 seasons, they have worked with more than 38 churches to provide sports camps in summer, and employment opportunities for the youth and have awarded more than $30,000 in scholarships during the last 10 years. MCFBL Board President is Chad Johnson; MCFBL League Director is Ennis Chambliss; and the current league champion is St. Mark AME Church.
