On Thursday, May 18, 2023, The Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship (CTE) hosted their “2nd Annual Big Hat Soiree” at the Bradley Pavilion, Marcus Center for Performing Arts.
The Big Hat Soiree honored CTE’s late founder, ReDonna Rodgers, and the vision she provided for CTE’s work with young people in Milwaukee.
Her vision continues with dedicated volunteers, programs to learn entrepreneurship and financial literacy, engaged students, school partnerships, supportive donors and an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset throughout.
As part of event Royal Capital Founder and CEO Kevin Newell was presented with the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s ReDonna Rodgers Entrepreneur Leadership Award. Holy Redeemer Christian Academy Chief Education Officer Dr. Floyd Williams, Jr, was presented with the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s Educator Award. The success of the Big Hat Soiree will provide support from donors, inspire volunteers and develop new partnerships.
