On Saturday, April 30, 2022 the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship (CTE) celebrated their 30th Anniversary at the Hilton Garden Inn. The CTE board president Douglas D. Kelly presented the board with a proclamation from the Governor’s office and Milwaukee County.

CTE’s mission is to research, develop, implement and advocate for programs serving young people ages 9 – 21, that promote fundamentals of entrepreneurship and financial literacy, provide an awareness of personal growth opportunities and build individual responsibility.

The program was funded in 1991 by Franklin Buchta and ReDonna Rodgers, who passed away in 2017. Robert E. Birney (right photo) is a board member and interim executive director, who credited Rodgers’ vision and passion that the CTE board (center photo) has used as their guiding fundamentals all these years.
