On Friday, December 14, 2018, Sheriff-elect Earnell Lucus (left) certified his election results and received his certificate of election at a private swearing in ceremony at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. He was joined by his wife, Linda (center) and was sworn in by Chief Judge Maxine Aldridge White.
Lucas, a Major League Baseball security official, won the November 6, 2018 election as sheriff after former Sheriff David Clarke resigned in August 2017.
Lucas, a 25-year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department, retired as a captain in 2002 from the Milwaukee Police Department and went to work for Major League Baseball as chief liaison of security and investigations.
