
On Friday, May 9, 2025, the Greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) along with Kohler Co. and SC Johnson, partnered to present the “S.T.E.A.M. ‘n2 Careers Youth Summit” at Discovery World Science and Technology Museum. The one-day summit connected students with professional and educational opportunities in science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) and provide exposure to career possibilities. Participating students experiencee hands-on skill development in workshops led by experts from multiple sectors, including Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin, Odom Investments & Property Management, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Freshwater Sciences, TMJ4, Junior Achievement, Rockwell Automation, Generac, SC Johnson, and WE Energies.

The summit was free for participating GMUL partner schools: Cass Street School, George Washington Carver Academy of Science and Mathematics, Golda Meir Elementary School, Nathaniel Hawthorne Elementary School, Highland Community School, Oliver Wendell Holmes School, Ralph H. Metcalfe School, and Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Studies.
