Greater Milwaukee Urban League, partners host ‘STEAM n2 Careers’

On Monday, April 4, 2024, 300 students from seven Milwaukee area elementary schools participated in a full day of hands-on exhibits, activities, and projects exploring STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) career paths.

The event was generously sponsored by Kohler Co., Kohl’s, and Rockwell Automation. The STEAM n2 Careers Summit was Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Peck Welcome Center, 10001 W. Bluemound Rd.

The STEAM n2 Careers Summit presented a unique opportunity for hundreds of Milwaukee students to gain first-hand experience with exciting careers and educational opportunities. Our partners offer young people exceptional and engaging ways to explore these career paths.

The following business and educational partners participated: The American Red Cross, Black Men in White Coats, CG Schmidt, CBS-TV 58, Children’s Health Alliance, Froedtert Hospital, Generac, Junior Achievement, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, North Division High School, Odom Investments & Property Management LLC, Pathways High School, Rockwell Automation, TMJ4 News, Teens Grow Greens, Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Studies, We Energies, and Wisconsin Bike Fed. The participating schools are all Greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) partnership schools.
