On Thursday, October 31, 2024, former President William “Bill” Clinton spoke at the Institute for the Preservation of African American Music and Arts, 3200 W. Hampton Ave., at an event targeting the city’s faith leaders and encouraging early voting. Just five days from Election Day, it’s a sign that the campaign is not taking any chances — working overtime to win over the state’s critical voters.
“The future of the country is on the line, and it may be decided in Wisconsin,” Clinton said to the room of about 100 people.
Clinton and other speakers asked pastors, reverends and elders from across the city to encourage their congregations to get out and vote for Kamala Harris. Congresswoman Gwen Moore spoke about her experience in Congress under former President Donald Trump.
