On Friday, November 1, 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned in Milwaukee, hosting a “When We Vote We Win” rally and concert as a part of the Harris-Walz campaign’s push to ‘Get Out the Vote’ through the end of early voting and leading up to Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The Harris rally, held at State Fair Park in West Allis, included appearances by rapper Cardi B, and comedian and actor Keegan-Michael Key. There was also a concert that included legends like The Isley Brothers, trailblazer MC Lyte, and fresh faces like GloRilla, Flo Milli and DJ Gemini Gilly. These artists and public figures are trusted voices for millions of Americans, who listen to their music, follow them on social media, or otherwise are inspired by them. During Harris’ 23-minute speech in West Allis before a raucous crowd of 13,000, she drew sharp contrasts between herself and Donald Trump, and made it clear she was ready to fight and win.
