On Saturday, December 15, 2018, Alderman Cavalier Johnson (holding sign) invited families to his 2nd District holiday event at the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center, 5460 N. 64th Street. Alderman Johnson was joined by State Senator Lena Taylor; Warden Steve Johnson (right); Andre Brown of Project Return, and members of the Milwaukee Youth Council, who helped hand out 100 teddy bears made by inmates at Racine Correctional Institution to Milwaukee children in need. Other gifts, hats, scarves, and gloves donated by City of Milwaukee employees, as well as food and beverages were provided to attendees.

“This event aims to celebrate the holidays and make the season a little brighter for families,” said Ald. Johnson.
