The Milwaukee Common Council was pleased to
honor a pillar of the Northside community, pharmacist
and entrepreneur Dr. Lester Carter, during
its regular meeting on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
Dr. Carter first opened Carter’s Drug Store at 2400
W. Burleigh Street in 1968, and has served members
of his community for nearly 50 years. Seventh
district Alderman Khalif J. Rainey said Dr. Carter
is well known for his patient and gentle nature
and has treated each of his patients with respect
and courtesy during their private consultations.
Many seek out Dr. Carter for his advice and expertise.
