Thoreau Elementary School celebrates Women’s History Month with special awards ceremony

Henry David Thoreau Elementary School celebrated Women’s History Month on March 14, 2024 at the school, located at 7878 N. 60th St. Women’s History Month is a time to recognize the important contributions of women throughout our past who have played a role in shaping our children’s future. Therefore, Thoreau School acknowledges them with an award along with many other guests. Thoreau school students and staff appreciated the effort of our volunteers and community leaders. The special guest speakers for the ceremony was Spectrum One news anchor Sachelle Reed.
