On Sunday, December 25, 2022, The Salvation Army along with the Forest County Potawatomi Foundation presented “The 33rd Annual Christmas Family Feast” at the Wisconsin Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave. Hundreds of volunteers helped prepare and serve a homestyle dinner for thousands of people in need. Everyone that attended received a sit-down meal with turkey, ham, yams, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, green beans, and dessert. The event also featured Santa, free haircuts, and a children’s book signing. This year for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, the meal was dine-in.
Christmas Family Feast was sponsored by the Forest County Potawatomi Foundation, All Saints Cathedral, Bombas, the Brewers’ Community Foundation, Cedar Crest Ice Cream, Hunger Task Force, Levy, the Milwaukee County Transit System, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, Roundy’s, Sysco, the Village of Hartland, the We Energies Foundation, the Wisconsin Veterans Foundation, and the Wisconsin Center.
