St. Ann’s Center hosts ‘4th Annual Indaba African Ball’

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, St. Ann Center hosted their “4th Annual Indaba African Ball,’ at the Bucyrus Campus, 2450 W. North Ave. The Ball supports the Indaba Band Shell and its upcoming summer season of family-friendly entertainment. The also Ball featured live musical entertainment, dancing, elegant African and Caribbean-flavored cuisine, guest fashion show, photo booth, and an African marketplace featuring Sr. Edna’s Jewelry Creations. As part of the event there were six ‘History Makers’ who were inducted into St. Ann’s Hall of Fame, they were publisher Linda Jackson-Cocroft, photographer Yvonne Kemp, columnist Barbra White, community leader Elizabeth Coggs, WNOV Radio, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter. The MC for the event was author Vivian King.
