Wisconsin U.S. Senate Democratic Candidate Russ
Feingold hosted a community barbecue at Sherman
Park on Saturday, September 17, 2016. The event
featured food, music, bounce houses and other
entertainment for families. Feingold was received
warmly by a crowd estimated by organizers at more
than 300 and took questions from many of the
guests. At least 100 were still present after the official
close of the event. The event was an opportunity for
local residents to interact with the candidate about
issues of concern in a relaxed setting. Several local
organizations also spoke about the community,
both positive aspects as well as things that need
improving. The groups joining Feingold included
Wisconsin Jobs Now, Citizen Action of Milwaukee
and Urban Underground.
