Your Safe Haven hosts Youth Jam at McGovern Park

On Saturday, September 25, 2021, newly founded non-profit Your Safe Haven hosted their first ever ‘Community Youth Jam,” at McGovern Park, 5400 N. 51st Blvd. This was the first of a series of events leading to the celebration of their grand opening in November. The event featured games, music, food, community resources, hygiene and PPE bag giveaways, raffles for free hair design appointments, photo-shoot gift cards, and a bike. Event sponsors included Marti Milton Creations, QDL Dumping, LLC., T&C Custom Designs, Shrine Bright Training Services, LLc., Lala’s Hair Extentsions, Hand that Help, Inc., and Threadz MKE.
