On Wednesday, July 13, 2016 the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) hosted a registration event for their upcoming “Walk for Education” at the rotunda of the Milwaukee City Hall building. The event was hosted by the Milwaukee Common Council and Mayor Tom Barrett to create a buzz and sign up volunteers for the upcoming 32nd Year Anniversary ‘Walk for Education’ to be held at Veterans Park on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. The annual event is a celebration of education that will bring together an estimated 2,000 community supporters to raise needed funds to help local students attend and graduate from college.
