On Sunday, October 13, 2019, JWM Productions presented the “Off the Shelf Book Club Authors Awards Luncheon,” at the Hilton Garden Inn Park Place Convention Center, 11600 W. Park Place. The event is the brainchild or former WNOV “Off the Shelf Book Club” radio show host Jennifer Washington McMurray (inset), a native of Milwaukee, who now hosts the show as a podcast out of Dallas, TX. The show features independent African American authors from around the country. McMurray wanted to kick-off the luncheon in her home town of Milwaukee. Other luncheons will be held in other cities throughout 2020.
