On Sunday, December 25, 2022, Northcott Neighborhood House along with Bader Philanthropies, Francie Luke Silverman Foundation, United Methodist Churches, United Methodist Women, Church Women United, and WestCare Wisconsin hosted the “Tis the Season Christmas Dinner and Toy Giveaway,” at Northcott Neighborhood House, 2460 N. 6th Street. On Christmas morning there were 1,000 dinners for families of four, hence 4,000 family meals and two hundred individual dinners for single people. The dinners were provided by Daddy’s Soul Food & Grille, 754 N. 27th St. Along with the meals there were more than 5,000 toys for girls and boys which were provided by various donors and friends of Northcott. Northcott Neighborhood House Executive Director Tony A. Kearney, Sr., said “We do not want any child not to have a toy for Christmas. Since 2020, we have honored the dedicated work of Career Youth Development Founder and CEO, Jeannetta Simpson Robinson.”
