Northcott Neighborhood House hosts 3rd annual ‘Tis the Season Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway’

On Thursday, November 24, 2022, Northcott Neighborhood House, Bader Philanthropies, WestCare Wisconsin and friends hosted the “3rd Annual ‘Tis the Season Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway” at Northcott Neighborhood House, 2460 N. 6th Street. Northcott staff and volunteers from the community handed out a home-cooked meal for four people from Daddy’s Soul Food & Grille on Thanksgiving morning. The event was able to serve more than 1,000 families in need in the community.

This year the award-winning Chef Benjamin Smith prepared the home cooked Thanksgiving meal with awesome seasoning and savory taste. Daddy’s Soul Food & Grille has been in business on the corner of 27th and Wells Streets since 2014; this mom-and-pop restaurant is owned by Benjamin and his wife Angela, who make it their mission to give back to the community year-round; whether it’s feeding veterans or seniors’ Daddy’s Soul Food & Grille is there! “Family is the cornerstone of our business and always aims to please and serve delicious and healthy soul food,” shared Chef Benjamin.
