On Friday, October 18, 2019, the Milwaukee Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) hosted their Annual Freedom Fund Dinner at the Wisconsin Center Expo Hall (third floor), 400 West Wisconsin Ave.
This year’s theme was “When We Fight, We Win.” With the current political and social climate, the theme was highly appropriate. The message of, “If you do not resist and keep fight through the tumultuous times in our country, we will overcome,” was echoed by many of the speakers of the evening. The keynote speaker for this year was the Honorable Congresswoman Gwen Moore (inset).
