
On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, The Milwaukee Urban League (MUL) hosted its 61st Equal Opportunity Day at the Pfister Hotel downtown. Since its inception, Equal Opportunity Day unites leaders while celebrating the accomplishments of our aspiring youth and leaders and raises awareness of our most pressing community challenges while raising funds to directly support programs and services for underserved residents in our community. As part of of its celebration the MUL honored a number of local leaders who have made a difference in Milwaukee. This year’s honorees include Dr. Joan M. Prince, Jennifer and Chris Abele, Grady L. Crosby, Cathy Jacobson, Dr. Hohn Raymond, Dr. Tito Izard, Tenia Fisher, Ossie C. Kendrix, Jr., Melissa “Missy” Hughes, Dr. Howard Fuller, Dr. Michael R. Lovell, Seyoum Mengesha and Marjorie Rucker. The event was hosted by MUL President and CEO Dr. Eve M. Hall and MC’ed by Spectrum News 1 Milwaukee Morning News Anchor Sachalle Reed.
