
On Thursday, June 19, 2025, Northcott Neighborhood House, Inc., hosted the 54th Annual Juneteenth Festival. This year’s theme was “Juneteenth – A Celebration of Love, Life, and Freedom.” The day began with the Juneteenth Jubilee Parade, which started at 14th Street and Atkinson Avenue on Milwaukee’s nothside. The route heads south along Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive, to Locust Street. After the parade thousands of festival goers enjoyed live music, food and many different vendors.

After the festivities ended in Bronzeville the celebration moved to the Summerfest grounds with a special opening ceremony and a performance by The Isley Brothers with Eric Benét headline the BMO Pavilion. On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the first official “Taste of Juneteenth’ featured music by Gary Clark, Jr., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ginuwine, Joy Oladokun, Mike Jones, Fabolous, The Shonn Hinton Experience, Buffalo Nichols and many more.
