
On Saturday, May 28, 2022, the 10th Annual Heal the Hood Block Party and Resource Fair took place on W. Wright St. between N. 1st St. and N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. The event was free and open to the public. The Heal the Hood campaign strives to promote self-sustainability and non-violence. It also encourages all to join the conversation on how to end violence and crime in the community by coming together and making a change. Alderwoman Milele Coggs said, “Saturday’s block party is a great place for the community to spread love, unity, and healing at a time when the city and nation have seen so much tragedy.”
