Families enjoy the ‘African Heritage Soulful Santa Christmas’

On Saturday, December 9, 2023, Parent University founder Delores Sallis (top photo, left) along with Dr. Sabrina Robbins (top photo, right) presented the “African Heritage Soulful Santa Christmas” celebration at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton, WI. A “Soulful Santa Train” led families to a Christmas wonderland that was set up by volunteers. The event included live Christmas singers caroling, free mini cupcakes, storytelling by Ms. Claus, face painting and a stilt walker. The celebration, which is in its third year, “is important because it brings multiple communities together,” said Sallis. More than a hundred families of children with disabilities participated in the event. Dr. Robbins stated that the third annual Christmas celebration is important because it brings multiple communities together.
