On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Employ Milwaukee (EMI) hosted its third annual fundraiser event at No Studios, 1037 W. McKinley Ave. This event is held to raise funds to help support the efforts of Employ Milwaukee as they provide programs and training that enhance job seekers to reach their career goals. The evening started with discussion that featured DNA Network, LLC., President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Debbie Allen (right) and former Bucks’ basketball player and coach Sidney Moncrief (left). The event was called “Winning with Wisconsin Workforce,” and was sponsored by DWD. The speakers shared valuable information and experiences on how to win with the workforce now and in the future.
Immediately following was the fundraiser and social hosted by Employ Milwaukee Director of Community Engagement Millie Coby. The fundraiser program featured special highlights from program participants, special supportive donors, such as Ascension Wisconsin vice president and chief advocacy officer for Ascension Wisconsin Reggie Newson (center), who talked about the partnership with EMI and Ascension’s role in uplifting the community.
