On Friday, October 12, 2018, Milwaukee celebrated the opening of a brand new creative art space, offices and movie production facility, No Studios. The studio space, located in the redeveloped Pabst Brewery complex, 1037 W. McKinley Ave., is the product of a business partnership between Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Oscar -winning filmmaker and Milwaukee native John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, American Crime Story). The 40,000 square-foot area spans four floors and will host film screenings, live performances and art galleries.

Tenants include the Milwaukee Film, Inc. which operates Milwaukee Film Festival; Milwaukee Filmmaker Alliance; 371 Productions; Custom Reality Services, LLC.; University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Film; and Marquette University.

Pictured at the opening event are (from left) No Studios Chief Operations Officer Lisa Caesar and co-founder and Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele.
