On Sunday, December 28, 2025, Northcott Neighborhood House hosted Milwaukee 2025 “Forever In Our Hearts” Homicide Candlelight Vigil at Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church, 2412 N. 6th Street. The vigil featured prayers from interfaith clergy, songs and expressions of remembrance, and a candle lighting ceremony to honor each life lost. This vigil gives families a moment to be seen, heard, and supported by their community. They honored their lives and recommit ourselves to peace, justice, and collective healing. Sponsors for the event included Northcott Neighborhood House, Micah, Pastors United, Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church Health Connections Inc., MKE Black Grassroots Network for Health Equity. Among those who took part in the event included Todd Jones of Advanced Peace; David Sinclair of 414Life; Dr. Quinton Cotton of MKE Black Grassroots Network for Health Equity; Ericka Sinclair of Health Connections Inc.; Reggie Moore of the Medical College of WI; Amir Grooms of 414Life; Minister Gregory Lewis of Pastors United; Sister Rose Stietz, Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Sheriff Denita Ball who all read the names of the victims.
