Individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend this Community Pop Up to learn about going to college to earn a degree, get a certificate or otherwise further their education.
On Thursday, June 29, 5-7 p.m., Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is hosting its next Community Pop Up event to inform prospective MATC students and the community about how they can attend MATC for free and take advantage of other educational opportunities during the upcoming Fall 2023 semester.
MATC’s Community Pop Up is for anyone thinking about going to college to earn a degree, get a certificate or otherwise further their education. The timing for this Pop Up is aligned with upcoming application deadlines for the MATC Ellen and Joe Checota MATC Scholarship Program, the MATC Promise for new high school graduates and the MATC Promise for Adults.
Hundreds of students have benefited from the scholarships and saved thousands of dollars in tuition costs. Some of those students and alumni will explain how MATC’s free tuition opportunities have given them freedom to focus on their studies and career pursuits. In addition, they will discuss the joys of college and how to balance school and life as they navigate courses. The Pop Up is supported by Alderman Russell Stamper, II, who will encourage individuals to further their education and transform their lives by entering the workforce in southeast Wisconsin.
Interested individuals can RSVP at https://bit.ly/3UzBZiI or ask questions by emailing recruitment@matc.edu. Free food and refreshments will be provided.
