Brewers Host a Celebration of Black Culture at American Family Field

On Friday, August 21st, 2026, the Milwaukee Brewers and Social X MKE hosted a celebration of Black culture at American Family Field for their first ever “Black Culture Fest.” Fans enjoyed an afternoon celebrating Black culture, creativity, community, and the lasting impact of Black excellence on baseball and beyond. Everyone enjoyed a vibrant pregame festival featuring music, community activations, a market place and cultural experiences before cheering on the Brewers as they took on the Atlanta Braves.


The Celebration was held on the Terrace Level, Outside Section 407. Entertainment included, DJ Gemini Gilly; Donna Re’nee with J Girls that Groove; and Line Dancing with Lady Jai Janay; crowd engagement activities included: 40+ Double Dutch, and Rufus King HS “Cheer and Stunt”; and the curated Black Makers Marketplace vendors included Noah’s Art; Lulu Luster; Gaining Visuals; Vibez Creative Arts Space, Ken K Creative Agency; Just Us And Books; MKE Vintage Museum; Jungle Gems; DRK Expressions; Beckum Stapleton Little League; Janette Marie Jewelry; Semma’s Sunflower Organics; Leaders Igniting Transformation; Rainbow Rhythm Inc.; Bees Cosmetics; Audio Moguls Media; TDR Network; Everyday Media; Pure Athlete Apparel; Yesterday’s Negro Leagues; and Big Z Da Artist (Zena Smith).

The ceremonial First Pitch was thrown out by featuring hip-hop artist Wave Chappell.
