Flora Rieves and Lola Neely (insert) celebrated their 83rd birthday with family members and friends this past summer. These ladies are formerly from Shreveport, Louisiana. The birthday celebration was held at the home of the late Arthur Tyler and Addie Tyler located on First and Center Street. Rieves and Neely have been upstanding community contributors and residents for many years.
The celebration menu consisted of fried chicken, fried fish, barbecue ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, cakes and ice cream. This event was attended by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many relatives from as far away as Atlanta, Georgia. These ladies are giant pillars in our community and we wish them many more birthdays.
