On Saturday, July 5, 2025, Kim Robinson, former Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) Forensics Officer and local photographer, celebrated his 68th birthday with family members, friends and Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity brothers at his home in Sussex, WI. Community leaders, Reuben Harpole, Dennis Biddle and former Milwaukee Sheriff Richard Artison were in attendance. Local bands Joe Jordan and Christopher’s Project provided the entertainment. Since retirement, Robinson has become a freelance photojournalist serving Milwaukee black print media outlets. His father, Alphonzo Robinson, was one of Milwaukee’s first black architects and designed numerous urban churches and businesses, the elder Robinson also designed the downtown Milwaukee Fire Department building and the first black business district which was located on 6th and Walnut Streets. Congratulations to Kim and his family for their outstanding service to the City of Milwaukee.
