HOAN Celebrates Kwanzaa

LIGHT THE HOAN! See the Hoan Bridge come to life as our community celebrates Kwanzaa on its First Day: Sunday, December 26th at 4:00 P.M., 642 East Erie Street. honoring the first principle of Kwanzaa, “UMOJA” which means to strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race!

The Lighting of the Hoan Bridge Kwanzaa Celebration is a collaboration with Carmen A. Murguia, Josephine D. Moutry Hill, President, Wisconsin African American Women’s Center, Clayborn Benson III, Founding Director, Wisconsin Black Historical Society Museum, Lynda Jackson Conyers, Yvonne Kemp, and Africans On The Move.
