From Friday, March 26 to Sunday, March 28, 2021, the Wisconsin African American Women’s (WAAW) Center, LTD. hosted its “Annual Hat Fashion Show Fundraiser” at their center, 3020 W. Vliet St. The show featured more than 180 gorgeous new and used hats, as well as headbands and handbags at very affordable prices. Some of the hats were donated from the late Vernita Lee’s (Oprah Winfrey’s mother) personal collection. Due to the pandemic the center was not able to have its regular fashion show and luncheon.
