The Milwaukee Times held its first Summer Mixer on Thursday, June 5, 2021 at Garfields 502 on a beautiful spring night and it was a huge success! More than 25 Black business owners and professionals including Kelli Macon of My Choice Wisconsin, Karen James of Creations & Design by KCJ, Kendrick Watkins, author and owner of So You Can Write Publications, LLC, and Arletta Slaughter Weddings & Events were in attendance.
Deshea Agee and his assistant Diana of the Historic King Drive BID graciously sponsored all three Summer Mixers and joined The Milwaukee Times’ Lynda Jackson-Conyers, Publisher and Carmen Murguia, Marketing Manager. The Milwaukee Times’ next Summer Mixer is being held on Thursday, July 8, from 5-7 p.m. at Mi Casa, Su Cafe, 1835 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. For more information, call Carmen at 414-263-5088.
