‘Second Annual Melanin Mixer’ honors local business leaders

“The 2nd Annual Melanin Mixer,” founded by business owner Grace Cole (top photo), was beautifully unveiled on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the exclusive The Ivy House, 906 S. Barclay St. The sold-out audience of more than 250 excited attendees were dressed to impress in shades of brown, gold, bronze, tan, and creme all complimenting the theme, “Standing on Business!”
The evening’s order of events included a cocktail hour, keynote speakers, a panel discussion on mental health, an awards ceremony honoring nine community leaders and business owners, including Milwaukee’s Lena Cole, founder of R&B Live and owner of Billie Jean House of Beauty Brands (bottom photo). Lena Cole was the evening’s recipient for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
