On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, the Riverworks Development Corporation (RDC) celebrated the grand opening of their Riverworks City Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new center is situated at 3334 N. Holton St., and contains office space and retail space in one location. Among the businesses already open include a new expanded Family Dollar location, a laundromat and a forth coming clothing retailer. The City Center is just one of the many projects undertaken by the RDC to improve both the Harambee and Riverwest neighborhoods. “Riverworks had done an excellent job in promoting economic prosperity in the surrounding neighborhoods,” said Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs.
