Mount Moriah MBC hosts first ever health and wellness fair

Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church held it’s “First Annual Health and Wellness Fair,” on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 418 W. Christine Ln. Vendors provided health & wellness information on a variety of topics as well as screenings for breast cancer, blood pressure and diabetes. COVID-19 testing and kits were also available. A Milwaukee fire truck was on site and the Roselette Dancers gave a performance along with a surprise performance by the McGovern Dance 4 Fun & Fitness Group. Representatives from Advocate Aurora Health, Salvation Army, Black Nurses Association, Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition, Hyatt Pharmacy, and Black Health Coalition were all on hand to provide important information to attendees. Striving for Excellence sold popcorn and water for small donation of 10 cents.
