Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) will host the “10th Annual Mayor’s Masked Ball “on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Pfister Hotel at 6 p.m. Attendees will get the opportunity to wear decorative masks and done their best attire for a night of dinner and dancing.

Over the past nine years, the event has brought in more than $1.35-million in scholarship funds for students in the community who will attend historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) supported by UNCF.

Support is also provided to local students attending college in Wisconsin. In 2024 alone, the organization raised $216,579. According to Mayor Johnson, the scholarships given help make an impact on students who “strengthen communities.”

“These scholarships are very critical to the success of young people here in our community,” Johnson said. “UNCF scholarships may be the only way that some local students are able to afford the chance to go to college.”
