Kyle Rittenhouse said he plans to sue Whoopi Goldberg, other celebrities and media companies for what he said are “lies” about him.
A Kenosha County jury ruled in November 2021 that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense when he shot three people, killing two during the unrest in Kenosha in August 2020.
Rittenhouse told Fox News Channel he launched a media accountability project to take individuals to court.
“Politicians, celebrities, athletes…Whoopi Goldberg’s on the list. She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers,” Rittenhouse said. “I don’t want to see anybody else have to deal with what I went through, so I want to hold them accountable for what they did to me.”
There’s been no comment from Goldberg.
