Juneteenth 48th year celebration: Family fun for everyone

Northcott Neighborhood House will be celebrating Juneteenth with the community on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. It commemorates the day that the last enslaved Africans of Texas received word that they were free. This year also represents the 400th anniversary for those who have lived and died as a product of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

This year’s local events include the following:
