On Thursday, December 1, 2016 The Interfaith Conference of
Greater Milwaukee held their 46th annual “Making Waves”
luncheon at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago
Street. The luncheon is hosted as an “oasis of inspiration” to
all denominations to come together to build understanding,
tolerance and friendship in Milwaukee’s faith communities.
As part of the luncheon the Interfaith Conference handed out
a number of awards to individuals who are working to further
tolerance in out communities. Among this year’s recipients
are Milwaukee Urban League President/CEO Ralph Hollmon
(right), who received the Frank Zeidler Award; and Inspirational
Impact (an anti-human trafficking group) founder/
chair Zeynab Ali (left), who received the Youth/Young Adult
Leadership Award.
