On Monday, January 21, 2019, YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee hosted the 22nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Breakfast at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St. The breakfast is one of the largest MLK Day events in the state, and honors Dr. King’s legacy by recognizing those in the community that continue his work. During the event, area students performed their award-winning spoken word oral art presentation honoring the life of Dr. King.
