The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD), Milwaukee Chapter proudly collaborated with the residents of the Battle Parrish Apartments during their annual Holiday Party, creating a festive and meaningful celebration rooted in service, partnership, and community engagement.
This special event was presented as an integrated program aligning with TLOD’s national thrusts of Community Beautification, Senior Citizens, and Community Partnerships. Upon arrival, residents were warmly welcomed with holiday ornaments and greeting cards. Several of the ornaments and cards were thoughtfully created by students from Richard J. Kluge School, adding a heartfelt, intergenerational touch to the celebration.
Residents also participated in an exciting raffle featuring more than 30 gifts, including winter jackets and gift cards. In support of literacy and lifelong learning, attendees were invited to select from over 120 books and magazines donated specifically for the event, further enhancing the holistic impact of the program.
The celebration provided opportunities for fellowship, festive music of the season, and the enjoyment of delicious food, fostering connection and holiday cheer among residents and guests alike.
Leadership for the event reflected the collaborative spirit of the chapter. Lady Sandra Hubbard Gillam, Chairman of Community Beautification; Lady Robyn R. Rodgers, Chairman of Senior Citizens; and Lady Willnette D. Honey, Chairman of Community Partnerships, worked collectively to bring the program to life under the leadership of Lady Dara Atandare, Chapter President of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. – Milwaukee Chapter.
Celebrating 40 years in the community, The Milwaukee Chapter of TLOD remains committed to strengthening communities through service, collaboration, and impactful programming and looks forward to continued partnerships that uplift and empower those they serve.
