Northcott Neighborhood House Announces ’55th Annual Juneteenth Day Celebration’ Line-up

 On May 27, 2026, the Juneteenth Day Planning Committee Chair Tony Kearney was joined by, committee leaders and partners Bader Philanthropies Vice President of Engagement Frank Cumberbatch; and Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Sarah Pancheri, at Northcott Neighborhood House for a news conference announcing the 55th Annual Juneteenth Day Celebration. This year’s theme for the event is, “Honoring the Past and Empowering the Future.” This year’s Jubilee Parade Grand Marshall is Rueben Harpole.


The main event takes place on Friday, June 19, 2026 with a jubilee parade starting at 9 a.m., running along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive from Concordia Avenue to Center Street. Other events announced included: Mr. and Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant on June 6; Freedom Ball fundraiser, honoring LaMarr Franklin, held at the Harley-Davidson Museum June 12; and the “Taste of Juneteenth” event in partnership with Summerfest, held at the Potawatomi Founder’s Club on June 20.

TMJ4 will broadcast the Jubilee Parade live from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19.
