Employ Milwaukee Hosts ‘1st Annual Rise and Shine: Leaders and Legacy Breakfast’

On Thursday, December 18, 2025, Employ Milwaukee hosted its inaugural “Rise and Shine: Leaders and Legacy Breakfast.” This meaningful gathering added value, strength, and inspiration to everyone in attendance and served as a powerful celebration of leadership, service, and legacy within our community.
The breakfast honored several distinguished Legacy Allies. Bishop Sedgwick Daniels was recognized and represented by Attorney John Daniels, who delivered moving and powerful remarks reflecting on Bishop Daniels’ extraordinary life of service and excellence . Dr. Maria Cameron was also honored for her remarkable contributions, with Mr. Ricardo Yabarra sharing heartfelt reflections on her life and impact. The third Legacy Honoree was the legendary Vel Phillips, whose goddaughter, Millie Coby, spoke eloquently of her life. Ms. Coby also served as the event coordinator, ensuring the program was executed with excellence and distinction.
