The Salvation Army distributes hot dogs to Milwaukee children in need

The Salvation Army traded out sandwiches for hot dogs! This past Wednesday, July 11, 2018, volunteers distributed hot dogs via their canteen (mobile kitchen) to children in Milwaukee’s poorest neighborhoods. The Feed The Kids summer meals program will last until August 24, 2018. So far, The Salvation Army has served 4,760 meals to children this summer. Traditionally, lunches are served from a large passenger van and include a sandwich, fruit, snack and milk.
