TAKE THE KIDS OUT OF TOWN FOR FREE THIS SUMMER

Weekend travel deal for Chicago-Milwaukee Hiawatha Service

CHICAGO – Beaches, museums, restaurants, concerts, festivals and other events are just a train ride away this summer in Milwaukee and Chicago. An adult can bring two kids ages 2-12 along for free on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays aboard the Amtrak Hiawatha Service trains from now through the end of August.

These children ride along at no charge on the daily route with stops at Milwaukee Airport and Sturtevant in Wisconsin and Glenview, Ill., when the booking is on Amtrak.com. Blackout dates are May 27 & 30 and July 1 & 4.

There are seven Amtrak Hiawatha Service round-trips Mondays through Saturdays and six round-trips on Sundays. A Quiet Car® and free cellular-based AmtrakConnect® Wi-Fi are included on all Hiawatha trains, which are operated by Amtrak under contracts with state departments of transportation in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Amtrak and the DOT’s recently added trainside checked bicycle service to all Hiawatha trains, along with the ability for passengers to travel with their small pets under their seat and at their feet.

With nearly 800,000 annual passengers in the last year, this is the busiest Amtrak corridor in the Midwest.
