On Thursday, March 24, 2022, the Wisconsin Northwest Jurisdiction celebrated Bishop Charles Henry McClelland’s elevation to General Board for The Church Of God in Christ COGIC, which is the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States. The celebration was held at The Pfister Hotel Grand Crystal Ballroom, 424 East Wisconsin Ave. The keynote speaker was the Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle for COGIC John Drew Sheard. This is the first time Wisconsin has three members from the state to sit on the General Board, (Bishop Sedgwick Daniels, Bishop Darrell Hines, and now Bishop CH McClelland). There were more than 400 people in attendance for this event. McClelland also received special recognition from Congresswoman Gwen Moore, Governor Tony Evers, and proclamations from the City of Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

Pictured at the event are (from left) General Board Member Bishop Michael E. Hill, Sr; General Board Member Charles H. McClelland; Lady Prentiss McClelland; WI Northwest Jurisdiction Supervisor Mother Grace A. Harris; and Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle for The Church of God in Christ John Drew Sheard.
